Rangers came back from being 18-0 down scoring all their points in the second half but it was not quite enough to prevent Dewsbury taking the two points with a 24-12 win.
In the first half Dewsbury's James Esaherley, Toby Richardson and Bart O'Brien all scored tries, converted by \Jacob Flathers, to make it 18-0 to the visitors at half time.
Rangers staged a strong comeback in the second half beginning with tries by Liam Crawley and Neil Ackroyd, both converted by Craig Williamson. The score stood at 12-18 until six minutes from the end when Flathers kicked a penalty and then Aiden Ineson crossed the line to give a final score of 24-12 to Dewsbury Marroons.
