Rovers opened the scoring in the second minute when scrum half Conner Muir scored and Lewis Hoarty converted. Three minutes later Dan Fearnley scored their second try. Stanley got off the mark on ten minutes when prop forward Joe Binns went over from close range. Full back Callum Matthews converted but Rovers responded with a try from winger Alex Dunne, again Hoarty added the conversion. Five minutes before the break Rovers prop forward Jack Sherratt broke through an attempted tackle and went over under the posts. Hoarty converted to make the half time score 22-6 in Rovers favour.
A minute into the second half Rovers Muir went over under the posts, Hoarty goaled and five minutes later Dunne broke clear down the right and found Muir on his inside to go over for his hat=trick. Hoarty added the conversion. Stanley refused to give up and they were rewarded when stand off Danny Sampson scored. Prop forward Liam Grimmett converted but Rovers went over again shortly afterwards when Luke Walker scored and Hoarty added the conversion. Just before the hour Rovers added another Chadwick try before Rangers went over for their third try of the afternoon as second row Matt Dunnell crossed but almost immediately Walker race clear from a scrum to score under the posts, successfully converted by Hoarty. As the game entered the final stages Dunne went over for his second try before Holt added a try, conberted by Hoarty and two minutes from time Walker went over for his hat trick. Hoarty landed his ninth successful goal of the afternoon to round off a 66-16 victory for the home side.
