Open Age Presentation Evening 2006

On a warm summer evening, the Open Age Presentation Evening began with an excellent buffet. The proceedings then got under way under the capable hands of Lee and Mark, beginning with their thanks from the team to all the people who have helped through the year.

Thanks went to Jean Carr, Jean Reeve, Shona, Emma King, Penny Brown, Linda Grice and Vanessa who were all presented with flowers and gifts.

Thanks also went to Joe Tate, Wayne Grice, Paul "Decky" Dexter, Tommy Brown, Barry Walker and Barbara Rawlinson, who was presented with a gift.

After the awards to the two teams, the two team captains, Simon Carr (1st team) and Graham Stanley (2nd Team), presented the coaches, Lee Sampson and Mark Riley, with gifts as thanks from the team.

Finally, Lee, who summed up the season as a "rollercoaster ride" in which the team had reached two cup finals, mentioned the players who were retiring at the end of this season: Mark Robinson, Mark Riley and
