Open Age Match Reports, 2007-8 Stanley Rangers 54 v Askam 8 Stanley Rangers ended their disappointing run of four defeats with a resounding win over Askam 54-8. Although the Cumbrians scored early in the first half with a try to Jamie Southward and in the closing stages of the game with a Matt Parkinson try, Stanley kept firm control on the game. Tries for Stanley came from hat-tricks by hooker Stuart Godfrey and winger Danny Grice. Grice, playing his first game back after injury at full back contributed 18 points to the total, with a try and seven goals. Tries were also scored by centres Jackie Hogan and John Nunns, together with winger Carl Clawson and prop Mark Robinson. |
