Open Age Match Reports, 2007-8 Hull Isberg 23 v Stanley Rangers 12 A battling Stanley Rangers took Hull Isberg all the way and it was only in the last five minutes that the Hull side made sure of success. Isberg opened the scoring with a penalty from Andy Kay, before Billy Maxwell outpaced the home defence to score a try, goaled by Gareth Whitehead. A Hull try from Hay, converted by Kay gave Hull a 8-6 lead at half time. Kay increased the lead with a penalty at 45 minutes and then converted a 75-metre try from Robbie Smith. Stanley engineered a try for Mark Robinson, goaled by Whitehead. With minutes left, the score was just 16-12 but a crucial try from Rob Shaw goaled by Kay and then a Shaw field goal completed the scoring and the win.
