Open Age Match Reports, 2007-8 Milford Marlins 44 v Stanley Rangers 18 Milford Marlins continued their impressive form this season with a 44-18 win over Stanley Rangers. The damage was done in the first half when Milford notched up a 34-6 lead by half time. Tries for Milford came from Paxton, goaled by Watts; and a hat-trick of tries from Steve Meads. Stanley's Steve Scholey was sent off and being down a man disadvantaged the visitors from then on. A consolation try from Stanley's Jamie Gollins goaled by Danny Grice put Stanley on the scoreboard. The second half saw Stanley put up a determined fightback and Ben Walker grabbed a try, goaled by Gareth Whitehead. A third Stanley try came from Gollins but it was too little against further Milford tries from Watts and Smith. |
