Under 16s Match Reports, 2004-5
The Under 16s went through to the second round
of the BARLA National Cup with a thrilling 28-18 win in extra time
over East Hull.
The visitors arrived at Stanley in a confident
mood, having beaten Stanley in the league earlier in the season
and took the lead with a converted try. At full time, the sides
were tied 18-18 with Stanley's points coming from tries by Phil
Hill, Damien Thomas, Russell Dale and Nathan Armitage, Robert Chelepy
adding a goal.
In extra time it was Stanley's fitness that showed
as Ray Garrett added two tries and Rob Chelepy landed a goal to
seal the victory.
