Under 16s Match Reports, 2004-5
The Under 16s went through to the final of trhe
Yorkshire Cup with a win over Myton Warriors 20-12 in a hard-fought
tie.
Following a tight opening ten minutes, Rangers
opened the scoring when Kieren Hyde crossed out wide. Myton hit
back with a converted try before Stanley regained the advantage
before the break with another Hyde try.
After the restart, Sam Taylor had a try disallowed
but did score soon after and Hyde added the goal. Again the hosts
hit back but in the final stages James Davey went over near the
posts and Hyde's conversion sealed a well-deserved victory.
