The Under 16s are through to the final of the Yorkshire Cup after an excellent 22-6 win against Norland Sharks.

An individual try from Keiran Hyde opened the scoring for Stanley and then a grubber kick from James Davey bounced kindly back to Davey and he went over for a try, converted by Hyde. The home side produced a converted try in reply to reduce the gap in the scores.

In the second half, Stanley had to withstand a concerted attack from Norland but Matthew Dey gathered a kick through in his own 20 and raced 50 metres before offloading to Jordan Horsfield to touch down. Hyde added the goal and then Rangers wrapped up the game with an outstanding try. The ball passed through several pairs of hands for Jason Tingey to complete an wonderful try.

The final of the Yorkshire Cup will be Stanley against to be played at the Boulevard in Hull on January 23rd, 2005.
