Under 16s Match Reports, 2004-5
The Under 16s took another step closer to the
Yorkshire Cup Final with a third round 20-6 victory against the
Scarborough Pirates.
Phil Jackson broke through the Scarborough defence
to open the scoring with Kieren Hyde adding the goal. Adrian Hampshire
then added a further try, again converted by Hyde to put Stanley
in control at half time.
Scarborough pulled the score back with a converted
try, but Stanley came back firstly with a disallowed try but then
with a Kevin Eadie try and a Hyde conversion. A late penalty sealed
the win for Stanley who go on to face Myton Warriors in the 4th
Round on 28th November.
