GOOD WIN FOR THE OPEN AGE

The Open Age had a good win over Almondbury Spartans on Saturday 24-18, keeping them 4th in the Premier Division. Man of the Match was Charlie Ledger, with tries by Ben Martin, Ollie McCraw and a brace for Jordan O'Neil. Cameron Halliwell kicked three successful conversions.
 
JUNIOR GALA IN AUGUST

Stanley Rangers will be holding a Rugby Gala on Saturday August 16th at Ranger Park for Under 7s, Under 8s, Under 9s and Under 10s. The entry fee is £25 per team.

BUSY WEEKEND FOR RANGERS

The Open Age match against Almondbury Spartans will now kick off this afternoon at 3pm .

On Saturday - 12th April - The Under 12s are at home to Queensbury with a 10am kick off; the Under 11s will be at home to Siddal kicking off at 11am and the Open Age are at home to Almondbury Spartans with the new kick off time of 3pm.

On Sunday - 13th April - the Under 18s are at home to Hull Wyke with an 11.30am kick off; the Under 14s are away at Drighlington at 10am; the Under 9s are at home to Oulton on St Peters School field with an 11.30am kick off and the Under 8s will be at home to Drighlington with a 10am kick off.

1st WIN FOR RANGERS

A 22-18 win over Siddal Academy on Saturday so the Open Age team is a great start to the season, putting them fourth in the Premier Division.

Their next game is at home on Saturday 12th April against Almondbury Spartans with a 2.30pm kick off.
 
1ST OPEN AGE GAME THIS SEASON

The Open Age launch their new season in the YML Premier Division on Saturday - 5th April - at home against Siddal ARLFC, kickk off 2.30pm at Ranger Park. Come along and give the lads your support!
 
SUCCESSFUL WINS IN THE YJYL CUP GAMES

Well done to our Under 18s and Under 14s who both won their cup games at the weekend. The Under 18s had a closely-fought match against Illingworth and came away 22-20 winners in the YJYL Continuation Cup, Round 1. The Under 14s beat Keighley Albion 52-4 in their YJYL Challenge Cup Round 1 game.

The draw for the next rounds  of the Challenge and Continuation Cups games was made tonight (1st April) and the Under 18s will be away at Knottingley on the 27th April and the Under 14s will be at home to either York or Shaw Cross on the 29th June.
THIS WEEKEND'S FIXTURES

Friday evening sees an Open Age friendly at Lock Lane ARLFC at 7pm. On Saturday - 29th March - the Under 12s are at home against Crigglestone All Blacks with a 10am kick off; the Under 11s are away at Bentley and  the Under 10s are at home against Garforth Tigers ARLFC kicking off at 12 noon.

Then on Sunday - 30th March - the Under 18s are at home against Drighlington ARLFC U18s in Round 1 of the YJYL Cup, 12.15 KO; the Under 14s are at home against Keighley Albion in Round 1 of the YJYL Cup, 10.30 kick off; the Under 9s travel to Birkenshaw Blue Dogs with a 9am kick off and the Under 8s are at home to Stanningley Rugby Club with a 10am kick off.
** Don't forget that the clocks go forward 1 hour at 1am on Sunday morning **

MINI RANGERS ARE BACK!

Stanley Rangers Mini Rangers are for 3-5 year old boys and girls and everyone is welcome. New sessions will begin in April and will be every Wednesday evening from 5.30-6.15pm at the St Peters School field. Coaches are fully qualifield and vetted and are aimed at showing the basics and enjoyment of being in a team sport in a fun and friendly way. MASTERS MATCH IN 2025

On the 1st June 2025 Stanley Rangers Masters will be playing against the Silverbacks Rugby League legends in a charity game to raise funds for Wakefield Hospice. Kick off time to be confirmed.
