Elland 8 v Stanley Rangers 4 Stanley Rangers pushede cup holders Elland all the way and the homeside had to mount a grandstand finish to get through to the quarter finals of the Tetley's Yorkshire Cup with a 8-4 victory. At half time, Stanley were behind 3-0 from a drop goal and a penalty. However, midway in the second half Stuart Godfrey, who had formed a strong partnership with Dean Sampson, went over for a try. Elland retrieved the lead with a try and a drop goal five minutes from time sealed their win. |
