A hard physical game against rivals Queens saw the home side lose 18-44.

Queens took an early lead but Stanley rallied with a try from David Baxby, converted by Gareth Whitehead. A second try came from John Cooper, again converted by Whitehead. A converted try and a penalty from Queens brought the visitors back into the game and then a Whitehead kick brought the score level. Neil Shackleton with Gareth Whitehead kicking the goal reduced the deficit. At half time, Queens were leading by 20-18 but in the second half, Queens pulled away, eventually finishing 42-18 winners.

Stanley's next game is away against either Golborne Parkside or Southport in the GMB Union National Challenge Cup,Round 2 on December 11th.
