Open Age Match Reports, 2005-6 Broughton Red Rose 16 v Stanley Rangers 11 (aet) Broughton Red Rose needed extra time to see off Stanley Rangers 16-11, after the scores had been locked at 10-10 at the end of 80 minutes. Broughton's Paul Taylor grabbed the all-important extra time try, goaled by Dave Thurnton, after Gaz Whitehead had edged Stanley ahead with a field goal. Richard Cattley and Whiteham crossed for Stanley. The points for Broughton came from Paul Osborne and Stephen Douglas. |
