Stanley Rangers U13s 46 v Lindley Swifts U13s 36

Well, after Rangers outstanding
performance last week we were up against a stronger and
tighter team in the form of Lindley Swifts.
Rangers
were forced to play down hill in the first half and
Lindley took an early advantage due to Rangers lack of
concentration, and a few early mistakes, but they didn't
lose their heads and started to settle into the game.
Lindley kept up the pressure and with some big forward
play and took a convincing lead but then Rangers got into
their stride and hit back with tries from Josh Fagge and
Oakley Fletcher and conversions by Lewis Wright and Mr
Bobby Fagge. Lindley and Rangers continued to battle it
out with some big hits from both sets of forwards Rangers
finished the first half on top with six more points from
Charlie Kirk and Bobby Fagge and Rangers led the first
half 24-14.
Second half saw Lindley playing down
hill and putting Rangers under pressure, but
they hit back with a brilliant kick from
Oliver Keaney to gain field position and
Oakley Fletcher took it in from a quick tap
and we scored another six points. Josh Fagge
and Ben Buckley went over again as well. Could
Rangers possibly keep their cool and succeed for another win? Lindley kept
coming but Rangers held strong and finished the second
half on top with a final score of Rangers 46 Lindley 36.
A great team performance considering we had 7
players out and 3 playing with injuries. A big thank you
to our U15's coach Tom for stepping in as coach, Joanne,
Mark, Kat, Claire and Phil for making sure everything went
smoothly on game day.
