Under 14s Match Reports, 2004-5
Stanley Rangers Under 14s faced Westgate Redoubt
in the semi final of the Wakefield Cup but came away the losers
after a closely-fought tie.
Westgate opened the scoring in the first ten minutes
and then the game settled down with both teams working hard in defence
and attack. Stanley went over for a converted try from Daniel Dunn
to take the lead. Westgate replied with a try before the break.
After a converted try by Westgate, Daniel Dunn
did score again in the final minutes but Westgate hung on for a
deserved win.
Adam Milner was chosen as Top Tackler and Player
of the Match went to Ben Taylor.
