A physical encounter between Stanley and Stanningley saw Stanley
the eventual victors by 34-20. Playing down the slope in the first half
Stanningley tried to dominate the match but Stanley's defence stood firm
and they took the game to their opponents. Kevin Eadie scored the opening
try, then Jordan Horsfield added two further tries to put Stanley ahead.
Stanningley came back with two tries but before the break, Stanley added
another three with a hatrick from Jason Tingley.
Playing down the slope in the second half, Stanley's
Dale Brickwood outpaced the defence and scored a try, then Jordan Horsfield
added a further try to complete his hatrick. Stanningley added two further
tries but the final result was Stanley 34, Stanningley 20.
