Under 15s Match Reports, 2003-4

Stanley Rangers U15s 16 v. Churwell Chiefs U15s 6
14.02.04

Stanley Rangers U15s maintained their unbeaten run of wins with probably the hardest game of their season against Churwell Chiefs in a 16-6 victory.

In the first half Rangers attacked down the slope and both teams played some good rugby, with Churwell determined to beat Stanley's unbeaten record. It was Rangers who broke the deadlock when Jason Tingey crossed out wide, with Kieran Hyde landing the touchline conversion.

In the second half, swift hands by Stanley saw them work the ball upfield and Russell Dale went through the gap for a try, again converted by Hyde. Then Hyde also went over for the clinching try. The visitors scored a late converted try but Stanley's defence held firm to take the match.
