Under 16s Match Reports, 2005-6 Stanley Rangers U16s 20 v Smawthorne Panthers 10 Stanley produced another good diplay to maintain there unbeaten start to the season. Although Smawthorne started quicker by scoring first Stanley hit back with a try from Joe Binns,after a mistake by Smawthorne in their own in goal from a Stanley kick.Then following good go forward from the Stanley forwards, Ally McMaster off loaded to Josh Griffin who scored to put Stanley into the lead.From another kick and chase Stanley forced an error which saw Josh Griffin score under the post which he also converted. Just before half-time Smawthorne scored a close range try to get them back in the game. Any hopes of a come back were put to rest after half-time with solid defence from Stanley and Ryan Farrar muscling his way over the try line from dummy half and Josh Griffin again adding the conversion.Stanley travel to Huddersfield st Joseph's this week hoping to keep there good start to the season.
