Under 17s Match Reports, 2003-4 Stanley Rangers U17s 26 v Huddersfield Juniors 16 After a slow start, Stanley U17s overcame Huddersfield Juniors 26-16. Huddersfield scored first and Crawley scored for Stanley in reply but Huddersfield continued to press them and went over again. Sykes scored the second Stanley try to leave them 8-12 at half time. In the second half a much-improved Stanley took on the Huddersfield defence with Grice, Wray, Jeffcote and Haigh making probing attacking runs. Points began to be added, with Walker, Jeffcote and Haigh all scoring tries for Stanley. Player of the Match went to Grice, followed by Gant and Haigh. |
