Stanley Rangers have had a fantastic bonus of 3 former junior players being signed on as professional players with Castleford Tigers RLFC, and as such have cemented their reputation as a great Club for the development of all players coming through the ranks to professional clubs. Jordan Sharpe, Matty Burman, and Jordan Howden, all made the move to the pro ranks and arrive there with a solid foundation in the game under the guidance of astute head coach Steve Copley.
Jordan Sharpe and Matty Burman a big hitting Centre and a sensational front rower respectively, will join the under 19's squad for 2013. Jordan Howden, a very highly rated stand off, has the honour of being Super League's youngest full time professional player, as at the request of first team Head coach Ian Milward has been fast tracked into the first team squad again for 2013.
Jordan said "after the disappointment of not being selected for England last year I can only say that this is far better for me, and is the most amazing and fantastic opportunity for me to develop and learn from the best players in the business, and by training full time with the likes of Rangi Chase, Michael Shenton, Lee Gilmour, and Daryl Clark I can only improve, learn, and gain the experience needed to progress in the top flight".
England International William Carlos also signed pro terms with Huddersfield Giants, and himself has a big future in the game, and after a fantastic season at Featherstone fiery competitive hooker Charlie Ledger also signed terms with the Rovers.
