Stanley Rangers A team had their first win of the season with a 26-12 win at home to Methley Royals.
The Royals began with only 12 men until more players arrived in the second period but began with a 12-0 lead with tries from Luke Pickering and Tom Moore, both converted by Danny Snowden. Rangers, however, fought back with unconverted tries for Oliver Wilkinson and Charlie Ellis, before Shaun Abson crossed the line in the closing seconds of the first half. Jordan Arthur converted the try to give Rangers A a 14-12 lead at half time.
In the second half, Stanley scored with tries for Jake Lord and Steve Rutherford, both improved by Arthur.
Rangers Man of the Match awards went to Stan Matthews (1st); 2nd Charles Ellis and Jake Lord (3rd).
