Stanley Rangers A team had their first match in the Yorkshire Men's League Cup on Saturday 2nd March and were beaten by visitors Normanton Knights A 42-26.
Normanton's points came from tries by Chris Hartley (2), Thomas Henderson (2), one try to Joe Crossland who kicked seven goals, Steve Parkinson and Clark Thompson. Stanley Rangers replied with tries by Oliver Wood (2), Chris Nichol and Steve Rutherford. Chris Higgs kicked two goals and Jonny Karadzic added a conversion.
The A team travel to Methley Royals on Saturday 9th March in the next round of the Forty/Twenty Cup.
