Stanley Rangers shared the spoils with Egremont 12-all in a game of two halves.

Stanley Rangers dominated the first period, raicn in for two converted tries in the first seven minutes to leave the home side reeling. Mark Robinson and Daniel Duce were the try scorers and Gareth Whitehead goaled both to give Stanley a 12 point lead.

Stanley's defence held firm and by half time two penalty goals from John Paul Brocklebank was all Egremont had to show for their efforts.

After the break, it was Brocklebank who grabbed the home side's only try six minutes into the second half. He added the extras before levellling the score with a 56 minute penalty.

Both sides tried hard to break the deadlock but defences ensured they had to settle for a draw.

Egremont: Tries - Brocklebank. Goals - Brocklebank (4).

Stanley: Tries - Robinson, Duce. Goals - Whitehead (2).
