Stanley Rangers 8 v Heworth 24

Heworth moved into third place when they beat league rivals Stanley Rangers by 24-8.
Heworth took the lead after ten minutes when player/coach Adrian Leek scored a try, converted by Shepherd. Eight minutes later, Stanley replied when John Nunns scored his customary try, followed by a Jacky Hogan try which gave Stanley the lead 8-6. However, Heworth then retook the lead two minutes before the break with a Liam Watling try, again converted by Shepherd.
After the break Heworth extended their lead through a Carl Potter penaltywith a Marcus Allen try on 52 minutes to extend their lead by ten points. The visitors sealed their win in injury time, when Sean Holmes went in for a try, converted by Adam Jobling.
