Stanley Rangers continued their promotion claims with a comprehensive success over bottom of the league Hull Isberg.
The Hull side made the first move with a Matt Small try in the 16th minute converted by Andy Kay, who also added a penalty. This fired up Stanley who replied with a try from Andrew Brooke in the 33rd minute. John Nunns added a second and the home side were in the lead 12-8 at half time.
With Gareth Whitehead leading the home side, it took the Rangers until the 52nd minute to see off the Isberg challenge when Matty Firth crashed over for a converted try. Isberg continued to fight back but tries from Craig Rhodes, Nunns (2), Chris Carney and Richard Cattley completed the scoring.
This win takes Stanley Rangers to fourth place in the league. Next week Stanley travel across the Pennines to take on 9th-place Eccles & Salford Juniors.
