In this mid-week fixture, Stanley Rangers were unable to come back after a first half lead of 20-0 by Lock Lane, who completed the game 36-6 winners.
In the first half, Lock Lane raced to a 20-0 lead beginning with a tenth minute try from Beedle, goaled by Bolderson. Shortly after, Dale Cogan crossed over in the corner, followed by Matthews. Beedle then scored his second try, goaled by Cogan to ensure the big half-time lead.
Two minutes into the second half, Lock Lane confirmed their lead with a try from Cryer, goaled by Stockton. Stanley fought back and with the efforts from Darryl Gaunt, James Gollings pulled back a try for Stanley, goaled by Gareth Whitehead. However, Lock Lane pulled away with two further tries from Bolderson and Jones, the second being converted by Bolderson, to ensure the hosts took the two points.
