Stanley Rangers had a fine win over league leaders Milford Marlin, coming out 20-16 winners in a closely-fought game.
David Brown gave Stanley a fifth minute lead with a try goaled by Danny Grice and they increased it to 10-0 three minutes later when John Nunns scored a try. It took until the half hour before previously free-scoring Marlins registered their first points from a Stephen Mead try goaled by Ryan Oxonby. Oxonby then turned try scorer after 32 minutes and right on half time they increased their lead when Sam Hood forced his way over.
In the second half, Milford kept their lead until the 55th minute when Billy Maxwell crossed for Stanley. In the end it was Matty Firth going in for a fourth home try ten minutes later and Grice's second goal that proved decisive.
