Two inspirational tries from Rangers Danny Grice kept Stanley's hopes of promotion alive with this closely-fought victory at Crosfields. Both teams gave their all in this contest.
Crosfields took the lead with an eight minute try from Anthony Monks before Carl Clawson responded for Stanley, converted by Grice. Mike Johnson replied with a try for Crosfields only for Grice to intercept a stray pass and race 90 metres for a try which he then goaled. At half time it was 12-all.
Rimmer's try took the lead again for the home side but Grice pushed Stanley ahead with his second goaled try, only for Rimmer's second try to go ungoaled to close the gap. Christian Carney's try pushed Stanley ahead only for a Chris Burgess try to go unconverted to give Stanley the win by two points.
