16.10.10
Castleford Panthers had to work hard to maintain their 100% winning home record and beat high-fliers Stanley Rangers.
Stanley opened in promotion-chasing style with second row John Gledhill and hooker Danny Gaunt grabbing tries in the first half hour, converted by stand-off Danny Grice to take a 12-point lead.
Panthers finally got into gear led by prop Carl Burke, with a try from Karl Robinson, goaled by James Benn. However a penalty from Stanley's Grice on the stroke of half time, gave the visitors a 14-6 interval lead.
In the second half, Panthers took the lead with tries from Varley, Benn, Tillett and Clarkson, goaled by Benn. Rangers replied with a try from loose-forward Kevin King, converted by Grice to reduce the gap to ten points.
