Stanley kept their promotion ambitions on track with this fine win.
The visitors began with a blistering open spell and then kept pegging Milford bakd whenever the Marlins threatened to close the gap. With Matty Firth to the fore, Stanley scored the first try on five minutes when prop Chris Grice crossed the line, brother Danny successfully adding the extra two points. Winger Gary North then claimed a second try again converted by Danny Grice and adding a subsequent penalty.
Scrum half Josh Parle responded for Milford with a try and Ryan Oxtoby succesfully converted. Then Stanley's North intercepted and ran the length of the field. Danny Grice added the extras to secure a 22-6 interval lead.
The second half started with Milford replying with a try from Barker, converted by Oxtoby. However the big Stanley pack of Dave Foster, Kevin King and Matty Firth dominated the play and a try from Craig Rhodes, goaled by King, reasserted the Stanley lead. Milford's Oxtoby gave the home team a further try and goal to close the gap by ten points with 15 minutes to go, but Firth went in for a try that clinched Stanley's victory.
