Rangers got back to their recent winning ways with a 28-6 win over Eccles and Salford Juniors.
Although Eccles are at the bottom of Division One, they gave Stanley a good run for their money. Rangers opened the scoring on the eighth minute with a James Gollings try. Four minutes later, Tom Colleran crossed the line - both tries being successfully converted by Danny Grice.
Six minutes into the second half, Richard Cattley scored a try and then on 55 minutes, Danny Grice scored a converted try. Just after the hour Eccles scored a consolation try through substitute Anthony Aldcroft with Carney adding the goal. The final two points went to Rangers, however, with a centre Jacky Hogan crossing two minutes from time and Grice notching up his fourth goal of the afternoon.
Next weekend, Stanley travel to local rivals Normanton Knights.
