Rangers moved into third place, following a gritty derby against neighbours Normanton Knights.
Normanton went in front first with a try from loose forward Adam Thaler but Stanley hit back with tries in the ninth and sixteenth minutes from winger Gary North and centre Dave Foster. Stand-off Danny Grice added the conversions and a field goal, for a 14-4 lead whicdh remained in place at half time.
The Knights fought their way back with a 90-minute breakaway try by winger Andy Greaves, goaled by Lee Starbuck. Rangers replied with points from Danny Grice - a penalty and a converted try on the hour. Centre Callum Hutter raced over in the closing seconds and Grice improved from the touchline making the final score 28-10 to Stanley.
Stanley are at home this weekend, 5th November, to Widnes St. Maries.
