15.01.11
A remarkable second half comeback from Stanley Rangers gave the home side the two points, after the visitors had a good first half lead.
In the first half, Oldham began with a nine minute try from Sean Thomas, followed by one from scrum half Jordan White to which Lancashire added the goal points and a later penalty.
Rangers' Matty Firth rallied the troops and when the hooker went in for a 26 minute try, goaled by Danny Grice the home fans expected a comeback. However the visitors had other ideas and a 90 metre dash from Dave Harris, followed by a try from Karran gave Oldham a 22-6 lead at half time.
The second half saw a resurgence from Stanley and within five minutes John Nunns had gone over the line, converted by Grice. Within two minutes, Stanley had crossed over again, with a Oliver Wood try. The points difference was down to four and a Grice penalty closed the gap before on 68 minutes John Gledhill scored a try. Stanley were in full flow and Dave Baxby and Grice added further tries, Grice finishing with six goals.
