Stanley Rangers lost a game-winning lead at half time to finish 16-22 against Castleford Panthers.
A scond minute try from winger Scott Child, a Danny Grice penalty and a conversion to a 35th-minute try through Kevin King gave a Matty Firth inspired Stanley what looked like a game-winning lead at the interval.
Panthers, however, found their feet in the second half as centre Andy Tillett began to find the gaps. A try from Andrew Smith, converted by Coutts, and a try three minutes later from Gill made the scores equal. A Panthers try from Hope in the 58th minute pushed the score the visitors way and then four minutes from time a try from Burke, goaled by Coutts, gave Panthers the way through to the next round.
This coming weekend, Stanley are away at Castleford Lock Lane in the 2nd round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup.
