Rangers started the short summer season against Eastmoor Dragons whose first half performance gave Rangers a mountan to climb in the second half. The two local rivals gave their all with Rangers leading off with a fifth minute try from Danny Grice to which he added the extras. The visitors responded with a try through stand off Richard Colley, goaled by Adrian Mulcahey three minutes later.

On 15 minutes second row Chris Hayward followed Mike Jedynak's burst for a score again goaled by Mulcahy and on the half hour it was the goal kicker himself who grabbed a 3rd Eastmoor try, which was goaled. A further penalty for the visitors increased their lead but Stanley's Mark Robinson put sub Luke Moffitt in for a try to make the half time score 10-20.

After the restart it was Mulcahy who claimed his second try, followed by one from Shaun Jepson to put the Dragons firmly in the lead.

Stanley worked hard to reduce the gap and Danny Grice scored his second try but the final score was Rangers 16 - Eastmoor 32.

Next weekend, Stanley travel to local rivals Castleford Panthers for a 7.15pm kick off.
