Normanton Knights 16 v Stanley Rangers 46

In this local derby Stanley Rangers kept up the pressure to ensure a comfortable win 46-16 over hosts Normanton Knights.
Stanley's first half tries came from full back Shaun Abson, centres Richard Cattley and Carl Clawson and wingers Christian Carney and Joel Marsh, none being converted. Normanton had one unconverted try from Reece Hampshire. A minute before the interval Normanton's winger Johnny Hodgson was sent off.
In the second half, Normanton's remaining 12 players put in a solid effort which gained them touchdowns by stand off Adrian Thaler and Simon Hayward, both converted by Jacob Crosland.
Stanley, however, were not to be denied, posting a try and three goals by stand off Danny Grice and further tries from Carney and scrum half Ross McGretton and Chris Grice with another conversion by Abson, giving the final score of 16-46 to the Rangers.
Next weekend, Stanley are at home to Widnes West Bank for a 2.30pm kick off on Saturday 22nd October.
