A late rally from Panthers denied Rangers victory in this pulsating derby

Wingers Joel Marsh and Joe Spedding exchanged wide-out tries before Shaun Abson crossed for a try converted by Grice. Tillett cut the gap with his secobnd try before half time.
After the break McGretton scored his second try again converted by Grice to make it 26-14 for Rangers but Panthers kept in the frame with a try from Chappel, converted by Carter. Fifteen minutes from time second row Ben Taylor added a sixth try for the home side, goaled by Grice, and it looked like victory for Stanley.
