Stanley Rangers 22 v West Bank Bears 36
22.10.11
Rangers took on Group E leaders West Bank Bears but were unable to stop the visitor's winning streak who went away with a 36-22 win.
West Bank took an early lead with a try from Josh Simm within two minutes and a second from winger Jordan Parr. Two further tries from scrum Jack White, a second from Parr and from Adam Middleton, along with goals from Steve Mellor and David Jones gave West a comfortable first half lead. On 35 minutes, Stanley's Callum Hutter scored the first home try, goaled by Danny Grice to make the score at half time 6-30.
After the break West's Simmons crossed over, converted by Mellor. However on the 47th minute Stanley's Richard Cattley was red-carded and although Stanley battled back with ten men, and added to their score with tries from Ben Taylor, Grice and sub Liam Grimmett and two goals from Grice, it was not enough to reduce the deficit.
This coming weekend - the 29th - Rangers are at home to Castleford Panthers with a 2pm kick off.
Stanley: Tries - Hutter, Taylor, Grice, Grimmett. Goals - Grice (3)
West Bank Bears: Tries - Sim, Parr (2), White (2). Middleton, Simmons. Goals - Mellor, White, Jones
