Stanley Rangers put up a fight before going down to Premier Division Wigan St Patricks. In fact, Rangers were 18-10 ahead at the break before St Pats eventually wore them down.
Danny Grice helped himself to a try and four goals for Stanley with their other touchdowns going to Chris Nichols, Craig Williamson and Craig Rhodes.
St Pats points came via tries to Tom Woodcock (2), Kevin Harrison, Tom Atherton, Reece Sedgewick and Phil Glover, with Bradley Smith (4) and Dean Hatton (2) supplying the goals.
Next weekend - 18th May- Rangers are at home to Waterhead.
