A great start to the new season in Division Two for Stanley Rangers winning 42-36 over Castleford Panthers but not without a tough start, being 20-0 down after 30 minutes.
At half time the score was 16-24 to the Panthers but Rangers fought back in the second half going 42-30 ahead with a second Joel Marsh try, two from John Nunns and Danny Grice bagging a try and kicking five goals. Further tries came from Liam Crawley, Gareth Rawlinson and Charlie Ellis.
