Stanley Rangers 17 v Ovenden 14

In the last home game of the season, Stanley Rangers edeged past Ovenden with a 17-14 win.

Stanley's try scorers in the first half were Gareth Whitehead and Jacky Hogan with Craig Williamson successfully converting each one. Nathan Smith replied with for Ovenden. The half time score was 12-6 to Stanley.

In the second half, Ovenden caught up with a try to Gareth English and a second goal to Smith. Stanley responded with a Jacky Hogan field goal which put Stanley ahead in the 72nd minute only for Slater to score a penalty for the visitors. However Rangers' Jamie Bell scored a try on the 77th minute to give Rangers the two points.

Next weekend, Stanley have their final match of the season with a mid-season clash at Oldham St Annes.
