In a close match it was visitors Stanningley who took the two thanks to a last-gasp try from Chris Burke, successfully converted by Ash Kearsley.
Stanningley led by 10-5 at the interval but Rangers determinedly fought back to bring the score back to 14-all but were finally beaten in the last minutes. Tries for Stanley came from Jack Shepherd, Shaun Abson and Danny Grice who improved his own try.
