Stanley Rangers recorded another good win, travelling to Stanningley and coming away with a
46-4 win which keeps them at the top of the YML Division Four table.

" A great afternoon for rugby at a fantastic facility here at
Stanningley RLFC. Early exchanges were even as defensive attitudes
		  took precedence.

Stanley began to make the metres down the edges with the forward
pack of robust Richardson,  bulldozer Grimmett , controller Crawley,
and the forever-industrious Bhuna Moffitt opening the spaces for
Ledger, Grice, Nunns and Murphy,  with Crawley who went over in the
corner on 7 minutes - conversion from Mr Reliable Danny Ansell. 6-0.
Further pressure on 10 minutes saw Murphy go in at the opposite corner
10-0. Grimmett came off on 12 minutes with a bust lip, but soon joined
the fold when mopped up by the physio. Stanley began to dominate and
Jack Ledger went in for try number 3, 25th minute, kick from Ansell
16-0. Stanningley continued to chance their arm pushing the Stanley
defensive line, but Stanley held as one and regained possession
heading down field again. Murphy going over in the corner but knocked
		  on in the 35th minute.

On half time Stanningley were in possession on the half way line
but Moffitt on 1-1 bounced the ball out in tackle and Grice raced 50
metres on the edges going in at the corner. 20-0 HT.

From kick off Ansell kicked into touch to gain advantage in
Stanningley territory and the pressure continued with Grice going in
for his 2nd of the game 24-0. Shortly after, on 46 minutes Grice goes
80metres for his 3rd of the afternoon showing a clean pair of heels
for his advancing years - Ansell kick 30-0. Stanningley were been
overrun in the last quarter and Stanley raced in a further 3
touchdowns by Matthews on 48', Ledger on 60’ and Strafford on. 74’
Stanningley had a consolation try on 72’.

All in all a confidence booster coming into the business end of
the season, overall some good efforts from the lads who continue their
great run. Grice, Nunns, Richardson, Murphy, Moffitt, Crawley, and
young Joel Walsh off the bench showed good stints throughout."
Rangers next match will be on the 18th June away at Thornhill Trojans
	  with a 2.30pm kick off.
