Stanley Rangers Open Age "A" team had a fine win over previously unbeaten visitors Methley Royal 46-24.
Methley took an early lead with tries from Danny Snowden and Jake Dickinson, Sam Payne adding the first two of his four goals but Stanley hit back to lead 22-18 at the break thanks to a brace of tries from James Brown, a try and a goal from Shaun Abson and a further try from Ross Padgett.
The second half began with a Methley try by Tom Kaye but an 80-metre sprint by Padgett led to his second try, converted by Jimmy Molyneux. Further Stanley tries from Craig Lord, Daz Gaunt and Chris Carney, the extras being added by Molyneux. A consolation try for Methley by Rob Wright made the final score Stanley Rangers A 46, Methley Royals 24.
Stanley Rangers "A" travel to Harehills this coming weekend.
