Stanley Rangers 32 v Earlsheaton 12
Yorkshire Cup 3rd Round
28.10.06

Stanley Rangers are through to the quarter finals of the Yorkshire Cup with a 32 12 win over Earlsheaton.

A bad-tempered match saw four players sin-binned and one sent off but Rangers kept their discipline with Joe McDermott opening the score. Man of the Match Richard Cattley was the next to cross, followed by John Cooper. A second try from Cattley and three successful conversions from Danny Grice say Stanley build up an imposing 22-0 lead.

Earlsheaton replied with a try from Nathan Hanford and a Danny Pepper goal but a memorable 50-metre try from Mark Robinson followed with Grice converting and despite a consolation try for the visitors from Clive Hannor, the win was secure.

Impressive for Rangers were Andy Cattley, Richard Cattley, Mark Robinson and Gareth Rawlinson.

The quarter final against Pennine Premier outfit New Earswick will take place on November 18th.
