Stanley Rangers notched up their 4th consecutive victory against Birstall this weekend after Wetherby cancelled the league fixture.
Thomas and Mathew Sowerby took home the Opposition Man of the Match, and Parents Man of the Match respectivley and were on top form, especially Mathew who this campaign has improved a massive amount. Corry Eaton again shone in attack showing a very mature awareness and vision in both putting on plays and kicks. The top tackler could have gone to three or four players, Sean Smith, Tommy Gant, Tom Sowerby, Matty Hobson all defended well, but the man of the moment, and our top defender Jordan O'Niel took the honours. Magic Moment winner Tommy Gant had the unusual circumstance of winning this award whilst playing against us, as he slotted in for a missing Birstall player, and pulled off the hit of the season on one of our own players WOW !
Ryan Ellison ran well all game, showing just what we want from him, and was supported by some tremendous drives from Joe Crabtree who came a close second in the Parents Man of the Match vote. Well done to all the boys, they are moving in the direction we want them to, and hopefully we will maintain the shape, and structure throughout the season.
The next game is against Shaw Cross who are on top form so this will show us where we are in terms of form, see you all at the next home game.
