Wow, here we go again in another superb display, with several new boys making a massive contribution. The game was going to be a hard match and it turned out just that, played in a wonderful spirit, with all the players leaving the field with a smile, and that is all that matters. Cas were missing some players but put in a sterling performance, but the speed, distribution and power that Stanley brought to the game were just too much on the day for the Panthers.

Stanley's parents and also the opposition Man of the Match was awarded to Thomas Sowerby, who had a wonderful game, scoring two, but more importantly creating 4 tries as well.

The Magic Moment was awarded to the new front row sensation, Reece "big tank" Matysiak. Reece is not only a superb player, but what a great kid, he along with Tommy "steam train" Gant led the frontal assault with displays of power and speed. I know one thing, I am glad I don't have to tackle these two. Their back up front rowers Matthew Sowerby and Joe Crabtree also performed once out on the park, and neither of the boys let themselves down, both showing guts and drive.

Matty Hobson the one-man defensive machine was on top form, scoring, creating and defending like his life depended on it - again a stand out player for us.

New player Brandon Hill showed his versatility with him playing back row, centre and wing, and he was rock solid in both defence and attack. Well done Brandon - a top effort on your debut.

This game showed that this is a team, and we do not have to rely on one of two players. There were some great moves and none less than when an inside ball from Matty Hobson opened up a gap. Ryan Ellison showed that if he believes in himself he can really take on the defence with a  20 yard run up the middle.

Sean Smith was consistent throughout, and always is, he distributed well, and defended to his normal high standard.

I am very pleased with the performance, and how the boys are developing, with new kids like Sam Tovey, Reece Matysiak, Ryan Bolger, Harry Davey, Brandon Hill, and soon Levi Johnson the sky is the limit. I have lost one player in the last month and gained 6 new players, I can only assume that we are doing something right!
