The final league game of the year was a very close fought affair however losing by 8 points to Drighlington was a great effort.

 

Stanley had 7 first choice players missing, and re jigged the line up, and we could have won the game, but a big penalty count in their favour, and 2 disallowed tries for us left the mountain a little bit too big to climb.

 

I am of course looking foward to meeting them soon with a full line up, and on a full size field with 13 a side, as I feel we will be far better prepared.

 

The game was a well contested match, and only after 4 repeat sets on our line did they score their first 4 pointer. 

 

The season is now over, and I am pleased to say that the boys all gave 100% and have had a great year. I feel that to single players out for this game would be unfair, and congratulate all the players, and parents for making the last few months a very good and enjoyable experience
