The season ended with the presentation night at the club.Castleford winger Brett Ferres and Brent Sherwin, Castleford's Australian halfback, were in attendance, and a massive thank-you goes out to them for making the evening that bit more special.
The side have been great this season, and are now up there with the best teams at the top of the 1st Division/group. The boys have given 100% all season, and we hope to kick on again next year too. The boys have stuck together, and are now developing into a great unit, and that is what we want.
I want to make a special mention to Tommy Gant who was just pipped at the post for Man of Steel. Tommy was awesome all season, and in any other side would have walked the award. Thanks Tommy on a great season.
Thomas Sowerby and Matthew Hobson again excelled, with Thomas scoring a phenomenal 78 tries in just 24 games, and in the top division at Under 10's I have never seen that amount before. Matthew showed his class all season coming second overall in tries scored, tackles made, Opposition Man of the Matches, and that is a great all round effort.
sean Smith came back from a broken jaw, Harry Smith from a twisted knee, Lewis Crowley from a broken hand, and Niall Fitzsimons from torn cruciate ligaments, all the boys have come back and excelled - well done.
